Tottenham wins at Newcastle 2-0
Tottenham traveled north to St James' Park to face Newcastle and picked up all three points, winning 2-0 on Sunday.
The home side were in a bit of a fix within 35 minutes, as manager Rafa Benitez was forced to sub off two members of his back-four in Paul Dummett and Florian Lejeune due to injuries.
A rash Jonjo Shelvey ankle stomp on Dele in the 48th minute saw Shelvey receive a straight red, further complicating matters for the home side.
Despite changing out half of the backline before halftime and being down a man, the Magpies kept a clean sheet until the 61st minute, when Dele granted Spurs the lead courtesy of a lovely Christian Eriksen ball.
The Dane picked up his second assist of the day after playing in Ben Davies just nine minutes later, with the fullback doubling Tottenham's lead and largely securing the three points.
