Egypt winger Salah back in EPL at Liverpool for record fee

Egypt winger Mohamed Salah will get another chance to prove himself in the English Premier League after sealing a transfer to Liverpool from Roma in a club-record deal on Thursday.

Roma said Salah moved for 42 million euros ($46.8 million), which - using the current exchange rates - makes him Liverpool's most expensive signing in British pounds. The fee of 37 million pounds surpasses the previous record figure for Andy Carroll, who cost 35 million pounds (then $56 million) in 2011.

The 25-year-old Salah made just six league starts during his time playing for Chelsea from February 2014 to February 2015 before being sent on loan first to Fiorentina and then Roma.
